I wanted to work on something that was part concept-outfit, part finished image. I've started to experiment with clothing as a means of moving away from super-traditional or cliche fantasy getups to outfits that are more monumental, but keep the mood old-school fantasy. I don't know if that makes sense at all :P

This was done in Photoshop, used some references for the raven. It started out as an owl but then turned into a raven because I didn't like the big white area compositionally, that was resulting from the presence of a snowy owl. And I didn't think a barn owl or brown owl would be as effective.

The idea is that this shaman individual is sharing 'sight' with his raven/familiar, so he may see approaching enemies over the mountain range.
